New month, another month to look back on and our loanee list is shrinking.

Previous loan round up can be found by Clicking Here for anybody interested.

No wind related gags this time round though.

Jed Steer remains out with Yeovil Town, and the 22 year old stopper has now made twelve appearances for the struggling League One outfit. Steer also played for them in the FA Cup third round tie against Manchester United.

Defender Enda Stevens’ life at Villa Park is over as earlier this month he signed a loan extension with Doncaster Rovers that will run until the end of the season, and then he is out of contract. In his time at the Keepmoat he has now made twelve appearances.

Since the last update, midfielder Daniel Johnson has now returned from his spell at Boundary Park, and he came back to us at the tail end of December having made six starting appearances, with one more from the bench, with a return of three goals. Oldham manager Lee Johnson has said that negotiations were on going with Villa about either another loan deal, or maybe even a permanent move for the 22 year old, but nothing has been heard on that score that I’ve seen.

Other changes since the last update mean I think that young keeper Bradley Watkins remains on loan at Chelmsford City as I haven’t seen him back in action yet for the under 21s, but I don’t know how he’s doing.

Jordan Graham who was on trial and then temporarily on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers, has now completed a permanent move to them.

Darren Bent is back from Brighton, he made five appearances, scoring twice. Since his return, he has now headed out to Derby County and his Villa days are now over as well as that deal runs until the end of the season and he is then out of contract. He has yet to make an appearance for Derby since moving earlier this month.

Gary Gardner has headed out again following his own return from Brighton. In total at the Amex Stadium he made 15 starts, with a further five from the bench, scoring twice. He has now headed out to Nottingham Forest and since moving earlier this month, has already made his substitute debut in the first game he was eligible for. He will be with until the end of the season.

Having mentioned Brighton twice, only fair to mention Joe Bennett who remains with them until the end of the season. He has now clocked up 20 starting appearances, with a return of one goal.

Janoi Donacien, who was with Tranmere Rovers returned to us over the weekend as we enacted the recall clause in his deal at Prenton Park to provide cover – Micky Adams explained – for the injured Ron Vlaar. He comes back having made 25 starting appearances for them. their manager has confirmed he hasn’t yet giving up hope of getting him back though.

Antonio Luna, Yacouba Sylla, Aleksandar Tonev, and Nicklas Helenius remain where they were but I’m too lazy to search for stats for them this time, as I don’t know if the ones I’ve found are accurate.
