With no funds for players and the sell to buy policy struggling to gather momentum I have an idea for buying players for Villa.

We organise a Villa fans lottery syndicate. I think the idea is simple enough if someone out there has the technical skills to do it.

We set up a website where you can pick your lottery numbers and pay with your debit card – any money we win goes to buying players.

You never know – if we won the jackpot we could have James Milner next season!

Oh dear this is desparate.

Tylervilla has also suggested a poll which I have happily put up. He asks:

So what are we going to do about Doug?

Option 1 is : Nothing…he’s the man**

**Please note anyone voting for this option will automatically be banned from Vital Villa and the hounds of hell will be unleashed to pay you a visit! ;-))

Option 2 is : He’s selling, let him get on with it

Option 3 is : Complete boycott of Villa Park

Already happening according to season ticket sales (and also a boycott his happening all summer long, fair enough there are no matches, but the fans are still staying away!)

Option 4 is : Doug out t-shirts to all the games untill he’s gone

He’d think they were in support of him if it shows his face.

Option 5 is : Fans rally to get some momentum going

Option 6 is : He’s got till January to do something

Might need to be more specific, would pulling a muscle count?

  • i said a couple of weeks ago the only way he will sit up and take notice is if he sees vp empty, we are all villa fans lets make him know wevw had enough .

  • think it was david odreary who said DD was the man.Cause clearly he would view these type of sites to get the supporters views of things.

  • Im not going hardly next season. Ive setup the supporters club but am not happy with the club at all. I voted for hes the man !

  • The non-renewal of season tickets, meaning row upon row, block upon block, of empty seats at home games next season, will surely get the message across to the old man and his brothers in arms, that the supporters are saying, ‘Enough is enough, we’re not p

  • You’re right Glensider. The worst thing that could happen now would be a good start to the season and we all scramble over each other to get back into VP.

  • Option 7 is coming to all of us one day but I think Doug is immortal. Don’t want him dead, would rather see him belatedly do the right thing and stand aside. At the end of the day, he is 83, so I can’t see him going beyond 110 at Villa, so only another
