With Aston Villa fans having their own debates about the future of manager Steve Bruce, the ever reliable media abroad have certainly thrown a curve ball at our summer speculation.

Now, I’ll preface this by saying ‘take it with a large pinch of salt’.

This seems an incredible stretch even by a journalist desperately needing copy and finding inspiration from the staff canteen as a ‘sauce’ deposits itself on their shirt.

Tuttomercatoweb have today reported that ‘talks have been opened’ with former Inter Milan and Udinese manager Andrea Stramaccioni.

Come on, this one gets better…read on!

The man has been out of work since leaving Sparta Prague but they claim that he has now met with ‘club executives’ in the last few hours.

It goes on to state that Jack Grealish will be sold.

Dean Smith has been contacted over the job but he’s in the crosshairs of West Bromwich Albion so we face a challenge to get our man.

(Should somebody tell them they’ve already appointed Darren Moore or should we stay quiet and just point and laugh?)

Marco Silva gets a vague reference as does Greece.

I’m honestly not going to even try and work my way through this cluster-shambles of a report, suffice to say they at least spelt his name correctly.

Sadly, others seem to have given it some credence.

Plenty of others were quick to see through it though.
