Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter today and his seemingly innocuous message has got fans in a bit of a flap.
With ongoing financial concerns at the club, Grealish has quickly become one of the go-to men for the media when it comes to a transfer away from the club to ease pressure on the pathetic financial state we’ve got ourselves into after putting all our eggs in the promotion bracket.

Whether I’m reading too little into this or others are right to overly read into it, his message has definitely caused a stir on social media and for many it’s absolute proof that our homegrown starlet will be off for a fresh challenge and a new destination before the summers transfer window slams shut.
With the situation we are in I think I’m resigned to the fact Jack is off, my only doubt is the links involving the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Fulham. I think that speculation is off base, but let’s face it, he could walk into a number of Premier League sides and make a difference.
The only real questions are who he goes to and for how much sadly.
It certainly won’t be a welcomed transfer though, even if plenty have shown understanding.
Do what is right for you mate, we all know you’ll always be a Villan. But now it’s your time to progress 🙂 UTV

Its heartbreaking what has happened at the Villa but we all knew deep down what was and is coming, Jack is a class act and needs premier league football, we all know he is Villa through and through

Don’t leave Jack

I'm hoping this is meaning that the club is about to be sold and Jack is staying

I desperately want you to stay but understand the circumstances. Go and fulfill your potential Jack. You don't owe the club anything. Will continue to watch your career develop and hopefully one day we will see you back at VP again. ???? #utv

I understand as a local boy you love this club, like me if your are sold you would have helped the club survive and I know it will hurt you but you will always be loved.
You will always be welcome back but good luck for the future and thank you #Holteender— Simon (@SimonSimonwelby) June 26, 2018
It would be tough on Jack if he does have to be sacrificed. He is one of our own, having supported us as a kid and also having come through the youth ranks. He’ll miss our passion because he shares our passion. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a set of more loyal fans, we’d definitely feature highly on the Passion Meter, which surveyed more than 5,000 football supporters and Jack knows that. To progress his career, unless we get the right new owner, he might well have to move on to a Premiership club, but I’m sure his heart will never leave Villa Park.
