Villa Put In A Royal Performance As We Show What We Can Do When We Click – Match Stats

After yet another disappointing draw for Aston Villa in last weekend’s clash with Burnley, Saturday’s fixture saw us make the trip to Carrow Road to face fellow promoted side, Norwich City.

The gaffer certainly seemed to have the players up for this one, and summer signing Wesley seemed to have some fire in his pants today. It took him only 14 minutes to open the scoring and he completed his brace in the 30th minute. He should’ve had a hattrick but he wasted the first half opportunity from the penalty spot sadly. That didn’t knock us off our stride though and four minutes into the second period, Jack Grealish popped up to get his name on the scoresheet and just after the hour marl, Conor Hourihane had added a fourth.

With Douglas Luiz adding a fifth, Prince George had plenty to celebrate from the stands, but Norwich did grab a late consolation with a couple of minutes remaining on the clock, so the clean sheet in the match eludes us, but we’ll take that won’t we.
