Well, this is a good news story!
I must admit, when the new kit deal was first announced, I did have my worries. A Villa fan designing the kit could be absolutely epic I thought, but……….. well, we can all be pretty savage about ‘our’ kits can’t we? And on top of that, there was an awful lot of understandable anger about due to not being promoted last season and the mess that Xia managed to get this fantastic club into.
But from day one, as you can see in our own forum debate the kit went down like a storm. There are the odd few who don’t like them, fine, that always happens but judging by the mood of the time, before the latest takeover, even a lukewarm reception might actually have been acceptable. But no, the reception for the kits has been red hot, so red hot in fact that sales are up 700%.
British GQ have only gone and voted the new Aston Villa FC kit the best in the EFL for the new season! #lukelife https://t.co/UXz9cPxNRd https://t.co/UXz9cPxNRd

https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/ Ranking all 24 of the Championship shirts and it comes as no surprise we come out 1st.
GQ say: “With domestic football finally back this weekend, GQ rates and slates the season’s Championship catwalk before the real show begins and ranks the new Championship kits 2018/19 from worst to best.”
As PRG-AVFC tweets, it really is a fantastic story.
The story is fantastic, a local lad gets chosen to design and supply kits to a massive club. Not only does he get the design spot on, but he achieves record sales and blows the big boys out the water. I hope this is the beginning of something special for this lad. Well done ????

Great result for the best kit we have had for years. Love the deep claret and the away kit looks amazing. Superb. Some of the other clubs kits just look so out of date and we haven’t even kicked a ball yet???????????????????????? UTV

And a few are saying they aren’t able to buy one at the moment, as they are out of stock. Apparently sales are up 700% (not a typo) though, so I guess no one could have guessed that sort of upturn!
