Oh for goodness sake, give me something to moan about will you, for the love of God, I’m not used to be being so merry!

Aston Villa reserves trashed Fulham last night at Villa Park. In fact, it was more than a trashing, it was a 7-1 anhilation.

Goals from Luke Moore (2) Isaiah Osbourne, Patrik Berger, Juan Pablo Angel, Adam McGurk and Zoltan Stieber saw off the cottagers.

VILLA: Taylor, Lund, O’Halloran, Laursen, Simmonds, Osbourne, Albrighton, Stieber, Angel, Moore, Berger. Subs: Y.Bellon (for Albrighton 82), Olejnik, McGurk (for Angel 61), Herd (for Berger 76), Hogg.

Fulham: Etheridge, Cumming, Anderson, Moncur, Watts, Brown, Hudson-Odoi, Saunders, Ehui, Goncalves, Briggs. Subs: Hawthorne, Cumber (for Cumming ht), Wilson (for Moncur 88), Cameron, Gowland (for Saunders 80).

  • Berger played fantastically, hope he will start vs. Reading. McCann could rest for a while, also Gabby could rest too with Maloney starting.

  • good to see all the guys aiming for the first team on the score sheet – reserve games like this show us we have quite a lot of strength in depth these days!

  • It was nice to hear that Berger volunteered to play for them as well. I remember watching the Djemba twins last season against ManUre and they looked like the reserves is the last place he wanted to be. That kind of attitude is important to keep the whole team working in the right direction. Obviously the Nike reps must have been watching 😉

  • Bloody cold down there, I know that. Good evenings entertainment though, could have been 10 or 12-1 and Fulham couldn’t have complained.

  • Keep a close eye on young Adam McGurk – very definitely one for the future. Impresses me more each time I see him.
