Following the restart of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, Aston Villa survived relegation by the skin of their teeth and there’s plenty of hope/expectation that we will now add real quality to the group to ensure a far more comfortable year in 2020/21.

This also means it’s now time for Manager, Player and Young Player of the Year awards and earlier this afternoon, the Premier League announced their picks for all three competitions.

Understandably, there’s little reason for Villans to be interesting in the Manager and Player of the Year gongs, but Jack Grealish has made it into their shortlist for the Young Player of the Year (albeit somewhat bizarrely given his age!).

Does Jack Deserve The Overall YPotY?

Yes

No

Fans can vote for our skipper on the above link (if they’ve fixed it), and the vote remains live until 6pm on Monday August 10.

Joining him on the shortlist for 2019/20 are Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Mason Greenwood/Marcus Rashford/Anthony Martial (Man U), Dean Henderson (Sheff U), Christian Pulisic/Mason Mount (Chelsea).

Well done Jack and well deserved. Hope you realise things like this don’t happen if your a bench warmer at places like Old Trafford. You need to be shining, appreciated and starring every week at places like the Villa otherwise nominations like this don’t happen. The grass isn’t always greener mate as many top players find out.
