There has been a lot of talk surrounding Jack Grealish’s future over the past week to the extent that Steve Bruce felt pressed into saying something about it before the weekend win over Ipswich.
A £20m move to Leicester has been suggested, but the Sunday People (via the Birmingham Mail) say our no.10 is set on staying at the club even if we remain in the Championship next season.
Jack has recovered from a serious early-season injury to put in some excellent performances in the second half of the campaign. Fans on Twitter are optimistic the 22-year-old will stay, although they are not completely convinced about the People’s sources:
He wants to show us there's still loyalty in football…

Ahh the Sunday people, must be true then.

Source link? A tabloid? If we don't go up and a team in top half offers 30mil plus he will be sold. We will lose a lot of players if we do not win promotion.

So he’s staying then…

Verdict:
The £20m figure that was talked about looked way below the player’s asking price considering the nature of the market these days anyway.
The attacking midfielder still has two years left on his contract at the club, and I wouldn’t bet against our playmaker signing a new one in the summer.
