Another bunch of fives: Mark Richards said: ‘One of my favourite H&V features is the fives that are usually on the inside back cover (I`m old fashioned in thinking that there`s still a paper copy of every edition somewhere). I`ve written my own list of fives, but they`re a bit more Villa-inspired than the usual obscure eighties bands and Albanian bank holidays that get put out.’ Read more: A Bunch Of Aston Villa Fives – I Wish I’d Been…

With Alan Hutton being one of a few players out of contract this summer, it’s fair to say reaction to his potential departure has been mixed. For many it seemed a shoe in he’d earn another 12 month contract at the club, especially if we remained in the Championship next season. For others, it’s a case of ‘thanks’ but now it’s time to start getting some real game time into the likes of James Bree and others. Read more: A Glimmer Of Hope For Model Professional Alan Hutton?

Thought for the day: I bought my friend an elephant for his room. He said ‘Thanks.’ I said ‘Don’t mention it.’
