Villa To Continue Acorns WITH New Sponsors?

Interesting article in The Mirror Football today claiming Villa could be set to land a massive sponsorship deal if we get to Wembley in the Carling Cup.

The article mentions £30m as the figure and claims we are in talks with three multi-national companies and winning a Wembley final place and gaining Europe again would obviously help the talks.

And what about Acorns? Well, any sponsorship deal will also involve ongoing support to that great charity as well.

A Villa spokesman told the paper ‘We have made it clear that any new commercial partnership would still work very closely with Acorns as well, and that would be a cast-iron part of an agreement. The club are very proud of the work that has been done so far and believe everybody will benefit from making sure it continues.’

Seems obvious that as our profile continues to rise that we’ll be able to attract a sponsor worthy of such a massive club as opposed to some of the .. ahem .. tin pot (?) deals in the past! What was the worst deal we have had? I used to hate seeing Muller on the shirts, what about you any sponsorship hates?!?!

And talking about Acorns: Vital Villa Acorns 450 Challenge Now up to £382 thanks to a few generous donations recently. Many thanks to all those who have chipped in.
