Alex McLeish has spoken with Dan Harrison on www.avfc.co.uk ahead of the game v Spurs.

The Villa boss, who is facing a hostile reception it seems, says:

‘Results went for us on Sunday, but somewhere along the line we have to look after ourselves. We’ve got two games to go to do that, to make sure.” Adding, ‘Our record at Villa Park this season is not acceptable, but some day we’ll win again at Villa Park and why can’t it be Sunday?

The worst home record ever for Villa. Nope, not at all acceptable.

‘We’re totally focused on the next game and if we get a positive result then we can start to relax.’

Lisa Smith has an article on www.avfc.co.uk explaining the leukaemia awareness initiatives at Spurs clash. Lisa says, “Fans wanting to show their ‘Support for Stan’ beyond the 19th minute of every match day are being encouraged to play their part at a series of events ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur. Strikers Darren Bent and Gabby Agbonlahor, together with defender Richard Dunne and Player of the Year Stephen Ireland came together to show fans ways they can pledge their support for the Villa skipper by helping two leading leukaemia charities.”

And whilst we are talking Spurs…

Gabby Agbonlahor has told The official site that the senior players need to stand up and be counted. Hopefully he`ll lead by example then?

Actually, I`ll be honest, having just read the interview, I`m not totally sure what he is saying!
