Albert Adomah is likely to remain at Villa Park next season, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Despite much uncertainty surrounding the club at the moment, the winger is believed to be keen to stay with us and continue to build on last season’s performances.

The 30-year-old was named the Players’ Player of the Season after scoring 15 goals in the Championship, topping the club’s goalscoring charts.

The winger is said to be keen to discuss a new contract, and there were reportedly preliminary discussions before the playoff final, although those are now on hold for foreseeable future. His current deal still has two years to run until 2020.

One note of caution from the report though is that due to the club’s financial situation, every player in the squad would be sold for the right place.

Even though Adomah’s intention is to be a Villa player next season, there could be other factors in play which could lead to him leaving. At the moment, there can be no guarantees about any player’s future at the club.
