Aston Villa’s return to the Premier League ended in disappointment last weekend as a late Tottenham Hotspur rally saw them cancel out John McGinn’s opener, and then ultimately take a 3-1 victory. With plenty of positives to take from the game, as well as some harsh lessons as we adjust back to the top flight, hopes are high that we can pick up our first three points as we welcome Bournemouth back to Villa Park on Saturday.

With our newbies having a further week under their belt when it comes to training and settling in, Trezeguet stole the show for many last weekend and our attackers can probably expect a touch more time and space this time out, and we’ll have to see if we can get our reward for that against Eddie Howe’s side.

On an injury front, Physioroom.com only list James Chester as being out for the game following the hamstring injury he picked up previously.

We’ll have to wait on head coach Dean Smith’s full update, but unless I’ve missed something this week, we should have a full squad (minus Chester) to choose from, so we could well see a few new faces again as we continue bedding people in.
