Our latest update for the battle for 4th place. Last one: Villa’s Battle For 6th, Sorry, 4th – Update 5

Spurs fall, City lead, and Villa hang right on in there!

So… here’s an update following our victory away to Bolton on our fight for the much-maligned top-4 spot!

Manchester City put themselves firmly in the driving seat now, by beating Burnley away (must confess I had Burnley to scrap a point here as they’ve been fairly reasonable at home)

Spurs slipped up against everyone’s bogey team this season (including themselves!) Sunderland, with X-Spur Darren Bent (in the summer – yes please!) bagging a brace!

Everton drew with West-Ham, which surely spells the end of any lingering hopes of nicking that last berth.

Liverpool drew against the blose (a result I had down tbh). Apparently, Gerrard’s face told a story all on its own!

And Villa – well of course we all know we ran a fairly convincing (apart from only scoring the one) win against a tough Bolton team on their own patch.

SO…… this is now how the table might look!

Man City – 68
Villa – 66
Spurs – 64
Liverpool – 64
Everton – 63

Here’s what I have down for our next round, after our FA cup game of course:

Villa – Everton – Draw
Liverpool – Fulham – Draw
Man City – Blues – City Win
Tottenham – Arsenal – Arsenal win

I think it’s going to take 1 team to really shine and draw away from the pack, something which up to this point nobody seems to want to do!
