Ahead of the kickoff in last Saturday’s Play-Off Semi-Final first leg at Villa Park between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, the atmosphere on our home soil was definitely kicked up a notch with the preparations for the game.

The banner was enough to make most smile, and that was before we even got to the 90 minutes. With West Brom’s hopes boosted following the early goal, justice was ultimately done and a barnstormer from Conor Hourihane drew us level before Jack Grealish won himself a perfectly good penalty, that Tammy Abraham took full advantage of to score his 26th goal of the campaign and give us a small advantage as we head to The Hawthorns tonight for the second leg.

Given all the crying and remonstrating after the penalty and the sending off of top scorer Dwight Gayle, the atmosphere tonight should be pretty tasty as well and the game is set up perfectly.

Wish kickoff would hurry up!
