Aston Villa head to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United this Saturday.

Sitting in fourth place in the Championship table after an unbeaten start to life in 2018/19 (we won’t talk about the EFL Cup here) Steve Bruce’s side have picked up two wins and three draws. The issue is the three draws have come on the spin and we should arguably have more points on the board at this stage, however, we continue to have an Achilles heel or two when it comes to conceding goals and killing off games.

After the shambles that was the midweek fixture, we all know Bruce will revert to our league lineup and with no defensive changes expected at this stage, as we all keep one eye on the rumour mill ahead of Friday’s deadline, the only change I can see from Reading is that Axel Tuanzebe will likely drop out – leaving the way clear for Ahmed Elmohamady to drop back so Yannick Bolasie can come into the side.

Nyland
Hutton, Chester, Jedinak, Elmohamady
El Ghazi, Bjarnason, McGinn, Bolasie
Grealish
Kodjia

Anyone expect anything different?

Of course, that assumes Jack Grealish and John McGinn have been passed fit after the knocks they took in our last Championship clash.
