1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
Sounds childish but my dad (a nose) walked out when I was 13 and left me and my mom with nothing but wanted to stay in touch but at a time of anger what was the best way to hurt him back? You guessed it folks my old man said be a city fan and I said. . . .
2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
Thrilled and delighted, I will be first to admit I carried away with the thought of OGS, I thought that it was fantastic of the board to look outside the box and if anything the way it ended with both sides maintaining credibility, the situation has probably helped both sides. Back to PL, more than happy with the appointment. Someone of his credentials says a lot about the board wanting the club to go forward rather than sit mid table and I think he is the man to take us on that magical journey. 3) Best and worst moments of last season?
Apart from the Petrov thing which would be the worst part of anyone’s life not just a season, on a personal level the few highs were things like Weimann`s pearler against stoke, beating Chelsea at the bridge oh and if you wanna count all before today costing the scum their manager again. The low points of last season has to be all but 4 journeys home from games. My lowest point on a personal note was driving up from London to watch us go 1 nil up against Bolton only to watch us go 2-1 down within 2 mins and then still look clueless. That and the Swansea game where we got passed off the park at home the spurs game in fact it was all just s***e
4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?
I am 100% behind the board. I think all the work they do behind the scenes should get more recognition than it does. Even the McLeish appointment if the plan was to survive and cut the wage bill but hire a manager to be the scapegoat then the plan worked . . . just. And it still cost them money to flirt with such dangerous games. The board will always get my support due to the fact they, more than most imported chairmen seem to have more of a grasp of the love affair of English football, traditions and values. The ginger Scottish one aside, look at all the things around villa park that is steeped in tradition and the board continue to invest in this.
5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
Aside from the dream team listings of eriksen, ninis, gotze and the rest of the future euro superstars on the champs league radar I`d like to see us take a punt on markus henriksen, craig gordon, steven whittiker/kyle naughton tranquillo barnetta. Whoever we sign, I have faith that lambert will get it right.
6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
Unlike some people I don`t actually think our squad is a bad one, just an inept manager last season didn`t know how to use it. I think the only players that have consistently underperformed and don`t deserve a clean slate next year are hutton and the fonz. However even hutton might actually play next season either a because the new manager didn`t sign him so he is playing for his shirt or b he doesn`t have the pressure of being the last bosses signing. Time will tell, I am guessing PL has his blueprint and as previously stated I have faith that whoever goes out and comes in will be viewed as successful transfer dealings.
7) Favourite current player?
Has to be villan? Bent for his goals, just showed how vital he is for us, he finished as our top scorer and played half a season. Fav player to watch in prem last season has to be david silva
8) Favourite all time player/s?
at villa, usual suspects GOD, sid, tony daley, platty, sir ian, yorke, laursen, mellberg, merson and any other legend of my villa lifetime. In my lifetime and the prem era, begkamp, zola, henry, cantona
9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?
Premier top 8/10
