P.Avfc is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I have always been a Villa fan before i could even remember, I had family members who were big Villa supporters like my Grandad and Great Grandad so it came naturally. I remember my first Villa game against Leeds at Villa park, we won 2-1 I think and that’s the day when I ‘seriously’ started to support Villa, watching frequently and keeping up to date with the scores, I was about 8 years old I think.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Fantastic appointment!! The board have got something right for a change, we need positivity and that spark back and I think Lambert can deliver. He is young and already a pretty successful manager who is saying the right things so far, bringing the positive vibes back into the Villa fans and getting us all excited for the upcoming season. We want to see Football played how it should, and I think we will finally see it as Lambert has proved he can tactically get it right at previous clubs with history of having a plan A, plan B, plan C etc in matches which we have lacked for years.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best moment I would love to say Mcleish getting sacked but i won’t go there! Instead i will say beating Chelsea 3-1, was optimistic after that game, soon died down though!
Worst Moment, Wow really difficult to choose, the whole season was a nightmare but i will go with losing to Bolton, how many of us got scared about relegation after that game eyy?

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

We all loved Randy and co when we had MON, he funded him and the money was blown on poor signings…Since then he has made some big mistakes obviously in the manager department but everyone does make them, there is time for him to turn things around just like Mike Ashley of Newcastle, he has got Lambert in now, give him support and we will all be singing of the same hymn sheet.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Tough one here…I think we obviously need to strengthen in defence, fullbacks are vital and a new centre half is needed…Just going to list who I’d want instead of explaining as i will be here until next week!

– Naughton
– Poulsen/Figueroa
– N’Zonzi/Vurnon Anita
– Adam Johnson/Victor Moses
– Daniel Sturridge/Pogrebnyak

Confident Lambert will get the right men in!!

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Easy one this is! I think majority of the fans will agree with me when I say that Warnock and Hutton have to go, fairly big wages, adding nothing to the team, been nothing but poor for us, time for change! Collins is a vital component into why we play poor football, the man cannot play across the floor, he is suited to a McLeish team, i do not want to see him in a Villa shirt again thanks! Wouldn’t have a problem with Agbonlahor, Delph, Delfouneso leave either…

7) Favourite current player?

Love Darren Bent, people need to lay off him…top goalscorer who will be awesome under Lambert.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Taylor, Angel, Barry, Laursen…Just to name a few!!

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: Would expect a comfortable top 10 finish, possibly pushing for a European place…we must rival the Evertons, Stokes and Newcastles!
FA Cup: Quarter finals maybe??
Carling: Semi Final, very easy tournament to do well in, would love another run in this!

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Where do you see Villa in 10 years time??
Champions League, playing Real Madrid in the final at Wembley!

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Morgan Freeman: Just to sit down and have a conversation with him would be unreal, he is a magnificent actor, can make cases for so many others. Also Milna Kunis for obvious reasons!

b) Age 20

c) Location: Birmingham

d) Favourite alcoholic drink: Grey Goose

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink: I’m a big fan of Water…Is that weird?

f) Favourite Film/s: The Avengers, Yes it’s recent but a big Marvel fan and i bloody loved it!

g) Favourite TV Show/s: Doctor Who (bit of a geek), like the soaps also…

h) Music?: RnB, big fan of Eminem

i) Best ever moment in your life: Ask me in 10 years!

j) Ambitions: Finish my Degree and my work experience over in America next year and hopefully become a Sports coach/Teacher in America.

k) Wise words: If you don’t like how things are change it! Your not a tree! – Jim Rohn.

  • cheers dude, a plan full stop will be nice, but agree,we might get plan a, b and c. At last, a manager with tactics. Been a while.

  • No no no Gordon, I’m just familiar with the quote…and yeah Mike bit of a fitness freak but it is a bit weird.

  • Yeah but you’re weird anyway JF lol Nah, a nice ice cold glass of water is almost as nice as an ice cold lager in the summer, but the advantage with water is you don’t get weird looks when supping a bottle on the school run.

  • well an ice cold glass of lager and an ice cold glass of water are almost exactly the same. Only difference is lager is a different colour and full of Co2…..Lol Agree 100% with DB9 and the “get rid ofs”

  • Agree with what you say about Collins and like your lists of in’s realistic and would all improve us
