1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
I have always been a Villa fan for as long as I can remember. My father was a Villa fan, he followed Villa on their 1957 FA Cup run. I was only almost 2 years old at the time, so needless to say, he didn’t take me with him……. I can’t even remember my first match, but one of my earliest recollection was a match against Arsenal at Villa Park about 1964/5. In their team, they had the likes of Jim Furnell in goal, Ian Ure, Jon Sammels, John Radford and George Armstrong if I remember correctly.
2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
Lambert was my original first choice. However, I will admit to getting quite excited with the OGS factor it was so unexpected for us to be even interested, but PL was my first choice so I’m very pleased indeed. It will be so nice to see some open attacking football once again from the famous Claret and Blues.
3) Best and worst moments of last season?
The worse was before a ball had been kicked before last season. That was of course, the appointment of Idiot. NOT because he was ex small heath, but his ‘style’ of anti football.
The best was away to Chelsea I suppose, but it has to be the sacking of Idiot.
4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?
I certainly hope – and expect a better season than last season, so yes … he has already gone some way to rebuilding the bridges for me. I think he tarnished his reputation for me and many others when he appointed Idiot, but that’s all water under the bridge with me. Personally, I still don’t think he knows much about ‘British Soccer’, but hopefully he is learning…
5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
OMG, where do I start?! Ok, two or three defenders, an experienced central midfielder to hold things together and win the ball and a decent striker to play alongside DB9.
6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
Mutton, Collins, Dunne, the Fonz, Bannan and if an acceptable offer came in – Gabby.
7) Favourite current player?
DB9 and Ireland
8) Favourite all time player/s?
Charlie Aitken, Brian Godfrey, Bruce Rioch, Alex Cropley, Keith Leonard, Paul McGrath, Gary Shaw, Peter Withe, Andy Gray, Ray Graydon, Dennis Mortimer, Martin Laursen, Olof Mellberg….. I think that will do for now.
9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?
Tough one, but here goes: Whatever happened to the Claret and Blue scarf your Mom knitted for your Dad for when he went to the 1957 Cup Final, it was passed on to you, you used to wear it down the Villa, where is it?
