1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I was probably around seven or eight but I don’t remember why! I’m the only one in my family who supports the Villa and at the time I don’t think many of my friends did either but they were the only club who managed to hold my interest in them. Soon enough my dad took me to my first game and there’s been no looking back.

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Great! I’m really pleased, he’s probably the best candidate for the job. I got very excited at the thought of Solskjear but in all honesty it would have been too much of a gamble at this stage of his career. Lambert has the mentality to sort the club out, we’ve had too much uncertainty for too long now and it needs to be sorted out now before it’s too late – you only get so many chances to under perform in the Premier League.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best – Chelsea away. I thought we’d turned a corner there, guess I was wrong though.

Worst – Aside from the dire football, the media’s insistence that it was the fans who were the cause of all the doom and gloom. Sure, certain sections didn’t help but they completely missed the point as to why we were annoyed.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I would say he’s been great up until the McLeish incident but looking back; all the pieces seem to fit together to suggest that perhaps he’s just a little out of his depth here. He’s spent a large amount of money on the wrong players and in the wrong areas. You’ve also got to wonder why he appointed McLeish in the first place considering the drastic change in requirements the new man must have. Very strange.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

If you’re asking for names then I have no idea. Lambert hasn’t had the chance to go for a player that a club like Villa could attract before but the defence needs sorting out pronto! Another creative spark in the midfield too would help us go a long way and perhaps a new striker depending on whether Gabby stays or goes.

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

The whole back line, they’re not good enough and they seem like they’re on holiday. It’s an easy ride for them and they’re being paid far to much to be mediocre. I don’t think Delph is going to cut it either so maybe see what we can get for him.

7) Favourite current player?

Despite kicking a hole in a door; Chris Herd has looked quite good and so has Lichaj.

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Paul McGrath, Dwight Yorke, Ian Taylor, Olof Mellberg, Martin Laursen and Steve Staunton.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: 7th – 12th
FA Cup: 4th round
Carling: Quarter finals

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Why does being a Villa fan frustrate everybody so much?

I don’t know, but it probably always will.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
