1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I can`t remember exactly how old I was, still quite young, but I was toying with the idea of supporting Small Heath! My mom`s friend brought a match programme round for me to look over and it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then my Villa-supporting uncles got wind of it and the rest is history. I haven`t looked back since!

2) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

I`m sure he`ll work out just fine. Personally I wanted AVB to come, but I guess with Lambert we will have a manager who will be sticking around long enough to see the fruits of his labours. If he says “I`m in this for the long-haul, not just a few seasons” at the press conference, that should reassure most fans. I just hope that the board matches his ambitions each season. I`m sure they will.

3) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best moment – The emergence of the younger lads. Clark and Baker look like they`d make a decent pairing eventually, Weimann`s a bright spark as well.

Worst moment – Hahaha, pick one? Listening to the United game at Old Trafford on BBC Radio. When their 2nd goal went in Robbie Savage and the commentator started talking about the Euros and anything else non-related to the game. Kind of summed our poor season up as a foregone conclusion.

4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board, can a decent season next season make up for last season?

I think so. I never had anything against the board last year except for the trip to visit the Cleveland Browns ( few days at the Nou Camp or Old Trafford might have helped more!) but Randy has financially backed the managers he`s worked with except for the last one, and that seems more like it was a cost-cutting mission rather than a complete dry-out.

5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

One name that sticks out for me, maybe for obvious reasons, is Grant Holt. We can`t not sign him with a name like that! Johnny Russell of Dundee could be worth a look as well, had a good season in the SPL. Based on who we get/got rid of, I`d say we need 2 or 3 experienced midfielders, 2 new full-backs, 2 centre-backs and 2 more strikers. Add those to the lads we`ve already got and we should be in a position to make the top 10.

6) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Dunne, Collins, Hutton, Delfouneso. They haven`t been good enough in my opinion

7) Favourite current player?

Chris Herd. He puts his head in places where others fear to go and has got some graft about him. Definitely got a bright future ahead of him, hopefully with Villa!

8) Favourite all time player/s?

Paul McGrath, Gareth Southgate, Alan Wright, Mark Delaney, Olof Mellberg, Martin Laursen, Dwight Yorke, Dion Dublin.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season assuming a decent transfer window with £25m or so spent?

Premier: First season with Lambert in charge and a new squad, I`d say 8th.
FA Cup: 4th Round.
Carling: Semi-final.

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Q: What annoys you most about being a Villa fan?

A: Sky-high expectations. We`re never a happy bunch and there`s always something to moan about. Hopefully with a new manager and some continuity things will change.

11) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
(based on our WHO ARE YOU thread!!!)

a) Which celebrity/s would you most like to meet and why? Simon Cowell. I`d punch him right in the face for ruining the music industry, reality TV and Saturday nights all at the same time.

b) Age – 27

c) Location – Birmingham

d) Favourite alcoholic drink – Strongbow

e) Favourite non-alcoholic drink – Water

f) Favourite Film – Gladiator/The Matrix/Clerks

g) Favourite TV Show – Family Guy

h) Music – All sorts

i) Best ever moment in your life – When I met my fiancée

j) Ambitions – To become a podiatrist and either have my own practice/work in sports/invent a new piece of footwear and make ridiculous sums of money from it!

k) Wise words – “If you do what you`ve always done, you`ll get what you`ve always got.”
