1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
I was born and bred a Villan, always have been a Villa fan and always will be.
2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?
Villa 6- 4 Blackburn semi-final of the carling cup- What an amazing night!
3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?
Martin Laursen! Were lacking a bit in defence and Laursen was colossal at the back.
4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
Absolutely fantastic manager, was already a big fan of his when he was at Norwich after there double promotion and the way they eased into the premier league in there debut season.
With the budget and resources he’s had he’s done a fantastic job, it’s taken a while for him to get the players to play as he wants but we are now reaping the rewards of his successful implementation of his system.
5) Best and worst moments of last season?
The 6-1 demolition of Sunderland after Di Canio stated Villa park was an easy place to go (don’t you just hate that guy?) the Norwich 2-1 hard earned victory that kept us up and the 3-1 victory over Liverpool came close though.
The worst moment has got to be the Bradford defeat, although credit to the lads for getting that far.
I could have chose anytime from boxing day through to January really it was that awful!
6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?
Definite success, we have rode the storm, taking some beatings along the way but we are now passed the transition season for the first time in 3 years under a very promising manager, the way he has done it as well, sticking with his guns by playing youth over ‘experience’ is remarkable, even after the awful Jan period, we now have a team that can challenge anyone on there day and will give there all for the shirt, if it wasn’t for our leaky defence i think we would have caused quite a few upsets against the bigger teams in the league.
7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?
Always liked Randy Lerner, i don’t get why people say he doesn’t care about the club.
He has put hundreds of millions of his own money into the club, developing the training facilities etc. i don’t blame him for trying to reduce the wage bill to try and make the club profitable, especially after O’Neill, he needs to be able to make running the club sustainable, he puts a lot into this club but he can’t have the club making major losses that’s not good for him or the club.
it’s not like he doesn’t give his managers money either even if the wage bill is being trimmed, look at O’Neill, look at Houllier’s/McLeish’s season in charge, Houiller got 24 mill for one player let alone any of the other transfers, mcleish bought N`Zogbia, Hutton, Given etc even when he was trimming the wage bill and Lambert has bought Benteke and the others in his first season and now that Lerner trusts him more he most likely will be more willing to splash the cash for example this Younes Belhanda guy who we are rumoured to be in talks with in Morroco (I so hope that’s true) like the look of the Danish 20 yr old defender to.
8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
Younes Belhanda because of his ability to create chances/score goals and just his dribbling ability and overall quality.
I also like the look of the Danish 20 yr old Centre Back Jores Okore
Any left back will do (Bennett is awful)
Then we can bring through the likes of Gary Gardner into our midfield who will be a star in the future if he stays injury free, he’s a very talented box to box midfielder (reminds me of Gerrard), his passing is sublime and he definitely knows where the net is.
9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
All senior players who we don’t play, just to get them off the wage bill and free up more money for some very exciting young players.
10) Favourite current player?
Got to be Christian Benteke, he’s been fantastic, he’s simply torn defences apart, he is the all the all round striker, he is a beast (the next Drogba) we need to keep hold of him.
11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?
Probably Gareth Barry was my first footballing hero.
Other than the obvious Titus Bramble/Emile Heskey my all time favourite players were Ashley Young in his first few years when he used to actually try and take players on instead of cutting in and going for the cross and Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United just simply because i couldn’t believe some of the things he did (simply amazing!)
12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier: expect 7/8th place finish this season with us and everton fighting for the 7th spot, but if spurs sell Bale then who knows :’) i think this season we will wow a few people, i think we’ll tighten up our defence and really start banging them in for fun
FA Cup: Quarter Final
Carling: Winners (i hope!!) we always have a knack of doing well in this competition but always seem to just come up short, maybe next year is our year. I mean we got to the semi’s this year in a transition year….

Q) If Villa could have any one player in the world they wanted who would you choose?
A) Gareth Bale, simply because we are in need of a goalscoring winger who can create a chance out of nothing.
