ezraholtender95 is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

Age 5, 90% of my family are villans and my uncle used to show me the matches.

2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?

4-2 win at man city, because it was so unexpected and it was my first away game in years

3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?

Dalian Atkinson, great finisher, would work well upfront with Benteke (should he stay)

4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Strong belief in youth, good at finding young talent, should still consider bringing in some experience

5) Best and worst moments of last season?

Best: 4-2 away win at man city, this is villa at their best
worst: both losses to Chelsea, the first was a horror show and the second was quite painful because we could’ve been safe from then

6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?

it was, in the sense that the youth players will learn a lot from the battle, but not in the sense that the first half of the season cost us a mid-table finish

7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?

has started to open up to the idea of investment into the transfers but still needs to realise that a proper investment will lead to more wins, more trophies and more funds

8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

Belhanda, Lukaku on loan to play alongside Benteke(should he stay), milner, a leader and an experienced former villan

9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Bennett, Ireland, Bannan, Hutton

10) Favourite current player?

Guzan, i always believed in him and he has shown great improvements (plus, i am a goalkeeper myself)

11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?

Mark Bosnich, inspired me to be a goalkeeper, paul McGrath, Juan Pablo Angel, Thierry Henry, Schmeicel

12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?

Premier: Top 8
FA Cup: Semi-Finals
Carling: Win (it’s our cup, we won it first, it needs to come home)

13) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Q: if i was the villa owner and i had enough funds, how would i spend them?
A: re-build the north stand to allow more supporters into the stadium, better atmosphere.

14) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:

  • Great set of answers. I sometimes think all Villa fans are in their 50s and so formed their allegiance in the late 1960s/early 1970s (like me)- then something like this reminds me there is young blood coming in…though a film favourite like Shawshank is

  • Great interview ezra! The idea of Lukaku & Benteke upfront makes me smile, just think of those poor defenders families…
