1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
Went with school mates to a match in 75-76 season, first season back in Div 1
2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?
The first half of the Liverpool match, Dec 1976. 5-1 up against the Champions.
3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?
Dennis Mortimer. Grabbed games by the scruff of the neck.
4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
A genuinely good guy, but stubborn; which can be both good and bad.
5) Best and worst moments of last season?
Worst- the last minutes of Bradford at home, when we had four centre forwards and were clueless.
Best- Benteke depositing the ‘future England captain’ Smalling on the Trinity Rd running track
6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?
Finishing where we did can never be considered a success. We will know next season if we have turned a significant corner.
7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?
Ok. Let’s see if they show the resolve to turn away £20-25m Benteke bids.
8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
A quality left back and a winger
9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
Ireland, Bent, Holman, KEA, Hutton, Bannan
10) Favourite current player?
Benteke. World-class superstar in the making.
11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?
Andy Gray, Dennis Mortimer. Since then McGrath, Deano, Stan Staunton and I thought Garry Parker was criminally underrated.
12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier: 8-10th
FA Cup: 5th round
Carling: 3rd round
13) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?
Q. Why have we failed to push on when we get close to the the top 4?
A. Because we’ve never felt we deserved to be in that elite
