1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
When I was about 7 and because my Dad was.
2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?
I don’t have many to choose from but I would have to say beating Leeds 3-2 at Villa Park on the road to the last old Wembley in the FA Cup, Carbone scored an outstanding hatrick.
3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?
Benni Carbone, real flair player and was a great striker and crosser of the ball with both feet and could unlock a defence which is what we lack most and have done for a few years.
4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
I really like Lambert I believe he has a strategy and his recent transfer links show he has ambition I believe last year was phase one of his job and he’s done it and now wants better things for the club.
5) Best and worst moments of last season?
Worst moment wasn’t losing 8-0 to Chelsea it was losing 3-0 at home to Wigan, we could all see it coming it was a horrible performance. The best moment for me was either the 2-1 win at Norwich, gabby was on fire that day and we showed real character..or beating Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield purely because of the football we played.
6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?
I think it was a success, if you take out the awful December period then definitely, but I think that’s made us stronger mentally so I wouldn’t change it.
7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?
I don’t think Faulkner knows what he’s doing but I can’t fault Randy as he’s always backed his managers, the McCliesh appointment was strange but I hope Lerner just thought ‘right we just need to do an ugly job this year and stay in the league before we can offload big wages’.
8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
I’d like to see us sign Belhanda to show some intent that we are changing, happy with Tonev. More young, hungry players please. Oh and a centre back!!!!!
9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
Think some of these have gone but Dunne, Makoun, Hutton, Given, Ireland, Bannan. Some say Bent and I agree but I can never want rid of a player that came in and saved us, he’s done a good job.
10) Favourite current player?
Gabby ! He’s a Villa legend and gives his all, when you go to the games live his speed is frightening up close its worth the entry fee imo.
11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?
My first footballing hero was Rivaldo, what a player. Favourite all time Villa players are Taylor, Carbone, Angel, Mellberg, Laursen, Agbonlahor. Outside of Villa, I liked Shevchenko, Zidane and Pirlo.
12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier: Mid table but by that I mean comfortably safe from relegation unlike the last 3 years. Just some progress.
FA Cup: Not to get knocked out by a side outside the prem.
