1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
When I was playing u7s football my local side was lucky enough to attend Villa Park for a soccer school day, upon completion my Nan brought me the home shirt and the rest they say is history..
2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?
Still being young I wasn`t fortunate enough to witness the European cup win in `82 so it will have to be a favourite game. In this instance it would have to be the Everton away 3-2 win. Ashley Young`s winner in the last kick of the game was absolute madness!
3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?
It would have to be Martin Laursen to come back and sure up the defence with some leadership at the back which is what we were lacking last season.
4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?
Big Fan. Like what he`s trying to do with building a ‘footballing philosophy` within the club and I am fully behind it. At first I wasn`t sure about him tactically, however after the Newcastle home defeat I think he found the right balance.
5) Best and worst moments of last season?
Best moment would have to be Stoke away as it was my first away game in which I witnessed a victory (and there have been plenty of other unsuccessful attempts). The Lowton goal will live long in the memory.
Worst moment was losing 3-0 at home to Wigan. It was the first time in my life as a villa fan that I was genuinely concerned that we would drop.
6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?
I think in a sense it was a success. We are still in a period of transition and took a gamble on the younger players last season, so staying in the league was important. It gives us a base to kick on this season as the younger lads learn from their experiences.
7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?
I still remember how excited I was when ‘American Billionaire buys Villa` was a headline. It does now seem that he has given up the hope of competing with the ‘big boys` and is retracting his thoughts on how the club should be ran. I do think that we are being ran in the correct way with regards to bringing in players who aren`t motivated by money, however believe that the way it works means we will continue to feed the ‘big boys` our best players until further investment occurs.
8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
The way Lambert goes about it will probably mean I won`t have much of an idea of anybody that we do bring in. Personally feel that we need a strong sturdy central midfielder and of course a new striker to replace Benteke.
9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?
As I am writing this in the aftermath of Benteke`s transfer request id have to say I hope he goes and its sorted as soon as possible. I`m very disappointed in him after all the club did for him and would rather we get rid of players who don`t have the clubs best interest at heart. He can accompany Hutton, Given, Bannan and unfortunately Bent out of the door.
10) Favourite current player?
Agbonlahor. The whole Benteke situation has made me realise just how much Gabby is villa through and through. He has the genuine pace to trouble any side in the league and will always give 100% for the cause.
11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?
My first footballing hero was Dwight Yorke as he was leading villas line when I was starting my football career. Since then from a villa front I enjoyed Ashley Young`s style of play; however my real footballing hero is Cristiano Ronaldo.
12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier: Comfortable mid-table
FA Cup: 4th round
Capital One: Quarter finals
