  • would love to see Steve Wade progress as a writer especially, think his something for the weekend just drop quality and deserve recognition.

  • I do like Steve’s articles however GS wins for me, Sorry JF you know I have a special place in my heart for you 😉

  • Can I be outrageous and throw my weight behind Glensider? His away-day reports offer an eclectic mix of background, purple prose and the actual subject matter at hand. They are written to the standard of a decent sports writer, but with the combined element of being clearly from a fan. Since professional journalists (if we, for one moment, assume sports hacks are actually bona fide journalists!) can’t combine those two, for obvious reasons, the fanzines and sites like this have to fill the void. I believe Glensider encapsulates that wonderfully.

  • No apology needed TuBBz, my main target is retaining the editor award although I doubt I’ll win it twice in a row! + would be lovely to see the site progress in the voting obviously!

  • Nothing outrageous there Real Neil, totally agree, Glensider is a great addition to the site, so happy to have him contributing.

  • Genius, pure, and dare I say quality! Jonathan comes across as being an unbiased editor on a very biased and loyal site. Basically, he keeps it real and objective.
JF you have my vote for editor and good luck in trying to retain your success. You and the others on this site keep me in touch with my passion that is Villa!

  • The real neil i totally agree!
Quality away day reports from a writers point of view and genuine fan. Glensider just gets the balance right so as to appeal to the greater audience.
Goodluck to all those nominated and most of all just continue the great work that you all do in making this one of THE best sites out there.

  • I can’t find myself backing one of Mab’s lieutenants so Wadey who I’ve read from his glory days on the Villa, list remains my top dog

  • Thanks avfc48 but my vote would go to Glensider, as away supporters are the cream and his match reports are like gold dust for Villa fans seeking genuine Villa opinion, rather than biased guff from the papers. So I say, vote for Glensider and leave me to my windy witterings and the rest of the care-in-the-community headcases.

  • Great to see the Bard of B6 (Steve Wade) joined up and posting! Made my day that. Think both Glensider and Wadey deserve the nominations and votes but at the end of the day, I’m sure both are far more interested in the results of Villa’s rather than anything that comes their way!

  • I hate to sound a political note
But voting for two splits the vote
All Villa fans who are proper sports
Vote Glensider for his away reports 😉

  • very true sir, however these votes get us to the panel stage where the ‘experts’ then wade in (no punn intended) and judge things. Obviously I don’t really care that much as long as I win the best looking baldy with the name Fear category, if I lost that I really would be in trouble and very upset! :o)
