Match ratings from McGrath4Pope.

I actually enjoyed that today. Thought it was a good game – we should`ve scored two or three more in the second half and Fulham could`ve had more.

Ratings:

Johnstone: 7 – error for their equaliser (I actually said to my brother before it was taken that he needed to take a step to the right) more than made up for it with a worldie save second half.

Elmo: 7 – did well.

Terry: 8 – quality. Great to see him get his first goal.

Chester: 8 – solid.

Hutton: 7 – did well.

Whelan: 8 – stupid free kick to concede for their equaliser but possibly his best showing. Got everywhere. Even a run down the wing and some killer forward passes!

Hourihane: 7 – good game. Some couple of wrong calls that wasted good opportunities. Perfect free kick delivery for first goal and two great deliveries following that.

Onomah: 7 – did well at times but drifted in and out.

Snodgrass: 8 – worked tirelessly closing down. Looked good.

Adomah: 8 – MOTM. Excellent work rate and just kept on going. A constant threat.

Kodgia: 8 – much like Snodgrass, worked seriously hard to close down the Fulham defence.

SUBS

Davies: 7 – did ok.
De Laet: 7 – did his job well. Nearly scored what would`ve been a lovely goal.
Thor: 6 – fine.

Just a comment on Fulham, never have I seen a team so determined to play out from the back with so little ability to actually do so. They were the same last season. The keeper and defenders clearly panic in possession – we`ll done to Bruce for setting us up to exploit that.
