1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
I liked playing football, no one in my family was a football fan. So getting to games, getting to training etc was difficult. I think it was just the era I grew up in that made me a villa fan. I liked to play football, and old school mates used to wear Villa tops, and all ways wanted to be on the claret/burgandy colour tops side in football, so I think I just followed because of that. Ever since I’ve been hooked.
2) Alex McLeish? Your opinion please?
Well I had a right moan at General Krulak on facebook once I got a whiff of the news Big Eck was coming.
General Krulak had a little bit of a rant back at my moan which made the press! The more I thought about it and listened to McLeish the more I thought it would work. General Krulak said imagine what he could do with a chairman that would back him, but as he hasn’t entirely been backed compared to the others he is starting the season with one arm tied behind his back, so yes General I’m still imagining what he could do with a chairman that will back him. I think he is a good man, this is what most people say about him, as a manager in English football then well it is shocking. But who knows football is a funny old game. Just support him people *Includes Lerner*
3) Best and worst moments of last season?
Best moments? …. Erm … the opening game against west ham (best performance of the season) and the atmosphere at the final home game + Darren Bent
Worst moments: Where to begin… Milner leaving, half arsed performances from players who didnt give a damn, Houlliers heart problems (don’t wish that on anyone), the stories coming out about the club. The way Stewart Downing showed no loyalty and did a uturn.
4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner?
Not rich enough, too nice. Lacks devilment, slowly losing the fans. Lacks bottle, too quiet in times when maybe a simple statement would help. Can you imagine if he was rich as the arab owners of city, do you think he would be cheeky enough to use contacts to sponser the club for ridiculous amounts of money? No he wouldn’t, lacks the devilment to do that, even Dave Whealan as mugged him off a few times. Whether this is Lerner or Faulkner I’m not sure so my remarks are aimed at both. Sorry if people like a nice training ground a big swirly tv outside the ground, but can we please have some top players back instead of thinking our youths are the best thing since sliced bread.
5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
Well McLeish claims he doesn’t think anyone else will be coming but his words also said you never know something might happen. So lets hope Milner, perhaps Barton, Dann? and another striker would be nice.
6) (changed question!) Stewart Downing, now he has gone, were Villa right to get shot of him or should they have kept him against his wishes?
Aston Villa FC are bigger than Downings ego. He showed no respect nor loyalty and his true side comeout, he couldnt wait to get out. So hope he breaks his neck. Stewie karma sucks!
7) Favourite current player?
What a difficult question, I find it difficult to pick one. I have many from the past but now jeez. I like homegrown players and I mean players who are Villans – Gabby, Super Marc and Gazza Gardner
8) Favourite all time player/s?
Mellberg, Dublin, Angel, Laursen, McGrath, Bosnich, Yorke, Milner, Ian Taylor, Merson, Barry
9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier 9-14th
FA Cup: 1/4 finals
Carling: Winners
10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?
Why do I care so much for something that doesn’t share the same ambition as me?
11) Right, lets lower the tone… which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!
Bang? haha who uses that word nowerdays? I would love to give Hayley Williams from Paramore a good ‘bang’ ……
