Vital Villa Summer Interview: jaceavfc

jaceavfc steps up for the Vital Villa members interviews.

Q: When did you become a Villa fan and why?

All of my sister’s and their children are Blues fans but luckily my Brother shown me the light at my first Villa game against Newcastle in 95 even though it was a draw it was a great experience and have supported Villa since then!

Q: The season just gone, good bad or ugly? What did you think of it?

Great season. Two visits to Wembley, two wins against the blues, 6th in the league with a slight point increase over last season so a very good season I believe.

Q: Best and worst moment of last season?

Best moment was the CC final. Even though we lost it was a great chance for Villa to prove we are a great team and we deserve to be in finals.
Worst moment was probably getting hammered by Chelsea.

Q: James Milner… is he off do you think? If so, what price (realistically) should Villa hold out for? If off to Man City, which – if any – of their players would you want in exchange?

I personally think he will stay, what more can Man City offer him that we can’t, maybe more money but that will show that he only cares about his wage packet which would make him the kind of player I would not want to see at Villa. If we do have to sell him then no less than 30m or 20m plus Ireland and Onuoha.

Q: What signings (type of player or specific name/s if you wish) would you like to see Villa buy this summer?

I would like to see a 20 goal a season striker. Would be great to see Keane at the club think he is an awesome player. Definitely another midfielder to replace Petrov (he just doesn’t like passing the ball forward) Ireland could fill his role really well. Possibly another left back and most definitely another right back.

Q: Where do you stand on Martin O’Neill (I don’t mean literally, that would be assault) ?

He’s a good manager has done wonders with the club and just hope he continues to do so. I personally don’t like the way he refuses to rotate players it just leads us to be very tired towards the end of the season and we always fall short of the holy grail that is the top 4.

Q: Your opinion of Randy and the board?

Awesome job. Always make sure there is money available, not pumping massive amounts like Man City and Chelsea but just enough to see the squad improve. I am pleased he announced the redevelopment of The North Stand. Overall he’s doing a great job

Q: Favourite current player and favourite all time player/s

Current player is probably Richard Dunne. Has had a great season and I can see him taking the arm band from Petrov when he leaves. All time favourite player would be Olof Mellberg the man was amazing!

Q: Do you expect progress next season, difficult to answer before the transfer window closes I know?

I truly expect so. As long as we offload the trash, get a decent striker and a right back, and actually rotate the squad I can see us snatching Champions League next year and hopefully a piece of silverware.

Q: Right, lets lower the tone… which celebrity would you most like to bang and which (male I would think) celeb would you most like to thump!?!

The celeb I would most like to bang would be Sarah Chalke (Elliot in Scrubs) I think she is all kinds of sexy. And I would love to punch David Cameron, I know he’s a Villa fan but he’s a Tory as well!
