1 – How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

My granddad was a Villa Fan, so I always supported them. Although I only really got truly addicted when I was around 12 (around 6 years ago), since then my life has been Villa lol.

2 – What was your first game?

A boring 0-0 draw with Newcastle at Villa Park, but it was just great to be there.

3 – What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

There’s a few, the main one has got to be either the Cahill wonder goal v Blues, or that last gasp winner by Gabby at St.Andrews last season. Perfect. Obviously, the 5-1 win last season will go down in history, brilliant.

4 – And the worst moment?

Losing to Blues, its bad enough to loose to them as it is…for us to go 3 seasons without beating them was torture, we’ve restored the balance a bit now…that balance being us beating them everytime.

5 – Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Obviously the most popular players at Young and Laursen, were would we have been without them last season? But I’m going to go for a couple of players who aren’t always peoples favourites, Wilfred Bouma and Nigel Reo-Coker. Freddie was top class last season, I rarely saw him make a mistake, let alone have a bad game, he’s come on leaps and bounds under MON….its probably all that leaping and bounding that helping loose those few extra pounds to be honest. I know there’s a fair few on the Vital Villa messageboards who aren’t too keen on ReoCoker, but I think he’s brilliant, as he will only get better. He shows 100% commitment ands he’s a real leader, he may not be able to pull of a pin point 60 yard pass, but he makes up for it in all the opposition attacks he either breaks up or holds up long enough for the defence to get organised, things like that go unnoticed and he tends to get alot of flak for not doing the fancy things.

6 – Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Again I’m going to go for a random one here, but Mark Delaney, he was injured ALOT…but I always had alot of respect for him, he was a great defender on his day, always got on with it no matter where he was asked to play. Its such a shame his career was cut short by injuries, I’m willing to bet he will be a top coach/manager within 5 years.

7 – Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Milan Baros, in terms of quality he was decent…but I couldn’t stand the bloke, he thought he was better than us. I could go on about him, but I’d rather not. Suffice to say, he’s hardly gone on to bigger and better things…and MON pulled of a wonder trading him for Big John.

8 – What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Best Goal – Cahill vs Blues, Petrov v Derby and I always liked that Hendrie over head kick against Chelsea about 4 years ago when we beat them 3-2.

Favourite Game – Chelsea 4-4 was pretty special last season, although I think I enjoyed the wins over Blues much more.

9 – Best away ground visited?

Highbury, I went there in its last season….we lost 5-0 (bad day, I was sitting with Arse fans and with the threat of getting kicked out if I was caught I had to stand an applaud their goals…bad bad day) but I was pleased to see it before it was knocked down.

10 – Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka…….

But realistically, I think Sidwell will be a good signing when we get him in. I wouldn’t mind seeing Milner back at the club, people forget he’s still only 22. Bentley would be a class signing, but I’m not sure his attitude would be great. Obviously a couple of goalkeepers and right backs are required, but there aren’t too many quality ones floating around at the moment, so it’ll be interesting to see who MON brings in. At this moment in time, I just want us to sign someone..anyone will do, seriously, anyone. Well, maybe not Heskey.

11 – What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
I’d take 6th again
b) Europe Uefa Cup Semis
c) Carling Cup Win
d) Fa Cup Quarter Finals

12 – What is your opinion of Martin O’Neill?

The blokes a genius, tactically he gets things spot on and can change things in a game to see us win it. His man-management skills are renowned and second to none. Honestly, the people that want him out deserve a smack, because I’d like to know who they think we could get in who’s better? Obviously his transfer policy is frustrating, but as long as we continue to improve I don’t think we can complain to much.

13 – What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

I think they’ve done well so far, but they’ve still got much to prove. They’ve made some nice moves to improve the relationship with the fans which is great to see. I think we are going places under Randy Lerner, I’m just waiting to see how much he really is willing to spend on the squad, although I’m not sure if its him, or MONs unwillingness to waste his money.

14 – Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

Sadly I don’t go to many games, I’m going to start learning to drive shortly, then I’ll start going more and more, eventually building up to getting a season ticket. I get alot of stick from people calling me an ‘armchair fan’…its so frustrating as its not a situation I’m happy in and if I could do something about it, I would, but its easy to ignore fools.

15 – And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a ‘bang’ ;o)

Ok, this is a good question I like this.

Ok first I would invite William McGregor, because he is the man behind league football, where would we be without him?

Then I would invite Martin O’Neill, you can’t help but listen to him when he speaks, top bloke.

I think Ron Saunders would be the other, for obvious reasons.

Then finally I think I would invite Paul McGrath, I mean you have to invite God to dinner don’t you? Its some kind of sin if you don’t.

A bit of top totty? I think I’d have to go for the bird that sang the national anthem at the Fa Cup final, he name escapes me.

I know its not part of the question, but if there was someone who I wouldn’t invite to this party, it would be Olof errrr Mellberg. He’s a legend, but it takes him about 3 months to get a sentence out. Ashley Young could be entertaining, you could make a game out of counting how many times he says ‘Y’Know’.
