Aston Villa are offering fans who travelled to Germany for the game with Arminia Bielefeld a free ticket for this weekend’s tie against Watford in the inaugural Graham Taylor Trophy.

We face Watford at 3pm pm Saturday in the tribute match and the club are offering a free ticket to anybody who can provide travel documents following our second friendly out in Germany being cancelled owing to weather conditions and a water logged pitch.

Fans who can supply a flight boarding pass or embarkment documents from a ferry cross from July 25 onwards can claim a free ticket according to the blurb on the Official Site.

Fans wishing to take up this offer are urged to present that evidence along with their passport at the Villa Park ticket office before a 1pm deadline on Saturday.

Chief Executive Keith Wyness explained that the club more than appreciated fans had gone to expense and would’ve been disappointed with the decision to call the game off and club wanted to do something to acknowledge that support.

‘We wanted to acknowledge our supporters who travelled to Germany and were planning on attending the match on Tuesday evening. I’m aware many were either en route or preparing to travel and we wanted to say thanks for their unstinting support of the team.’
