It’s being reported that Villa are on the verge of signing Yacouba Sylla, a defensive midfielder, for £1.75million.
It’s expected the player will be announced tomorrow, arriving from French second division side Clermont, who I read are currently 14th in the league.
He is also 22 years old and a six footer.

The Birmingham Mail say he is the next option on the list after we were priced out of a move for Moussa Sissoko, who many fans would’ve welcomed.
The Daily Mail confirm the rumour by saying that Paul Lambert and Paul Faulkner have been beavering away at Bodymoor Heath all day putting the finishing touches to the deal.
There are also brief whispers that Stoke could be lining up a late move for Darren Bent, as Peter Crouch is apparently set for a move to QPR.
