Wow that was hard fought. Very physical team Sheff Utd, didn’t give us a second on the ball. Would have been happy with a draw. Blinking well delighted with a win. Nice to hear their manager, Wilder, so magnanimous in defeat.
The Fear
What a keeper Sam Johnstone is, signing him is a priority, Keep going lads.

Didn’t find it depressing at all, just a tough match. Johnstone was immense. A few could have looked up more when passing, but we defended well against a team who don’t give you a second on the ball.
The Fear
Johnstone brilliant, Thor superb in the deep midfield role, fantastic strike to win it. Could have lost, fantastic to win. They were a tough nut to crack.

As a Blades fan, have to congratulate Villa on the win from a great goal. We’re proud of our Blades who have come up from League 1 and attacked the Championship with some style. Tonight we were the better team and dominated for long spells against a talented Villa outfit. We didn’t quite get the rub of the green, and your keeper was absolutely outstanding. We’ll try to do the same to Wolves on Saturday now…maybe still see you in the playoffs….good luck for the rest of the season.

Excellent win that, I would have taken a point before the game. They are a physical side and perhaps Davis would have been better coming on for Hogan earlier on – but I cant have any complaints after getting 3 points. Three consecutive 1-0 away wins we’ve grinded out now, Derby will be looking nervously over their shoulders

It was like a game of chess with them pretty much doing a job on us. These are the sort of games where the set up does not suite Hogan. So we need to see if we can improve this. Grealish holds on to the ball too long at times,, needs to give and go more corners make me weep. To much sloppy passing. Benny good again and Grealish is going to be some player

A hard fought away game that in previous seasons we would of lost and great to see a late strike, be interesting how we take the game to Burton on Saturday. Thought Bjarnason had a great game in the middle, Jack after a quiet 1st half woke up in the second and needs sometimes to push forward with a bit more vigour. Defensively with Terry, Chester and Johnstone very solid. Onwards and upwards.

Definitely not depressing. If you were there. Loved it at the end. Our lot know how to celebrate a last minute winner…buzzing

Thought we were dire in the first half but looked a different side in the second. Bruce gave them a buck up at the break. High balls are not the ones to score goals off playing Hogan should have got Davis on earlier. What can you say about 3 points – delighted.

Wow, what a great result. Johnstone was outstanding, Thor was everywhere when needed, his positional play and discipline was brilliant. To have that quality and individual ability made the difference, and we have that through the forward and midfield lines. All the big boys have to come to the lions den and it is up to us to show who we are. So proud of the team and the club, can`t wait to play my part in the Holte shouting and supporting the boys. Big respect to Chris Wilder. One of the fairest and most humble interviews heard for a long time. Sheffield were very good too, which makes our win so special. Nowhere near our best.. Dug in. Johnstone superb.. Back four very good.. Thor exceptional and Grealish a class apart.. Added great work rate to undoubted talent… Then Snoddy… Had an indifferent game.. Then a touch of genuine class… Match won.. Great night

Predictions for tonight then? Surely another win, easy!

Great night, great win. Fair play to Sheffield, they could and maybe should have won that. Johnstone superb – again. To think that a year ago he got so much negative press from many fans. Thor has also had his share. Tonight they were the stand out players and JT showed his class at times too. Jous one other observation: Tuanzebe looked a loner during the warm up. I hope he doesn’t have an attitude problem and think he is better than the rest. Just a thought. Back to the game – great goal from Snodgrass and well done to all.

Great result, but which genius thought it was a good idea to ***** Scottish Cafu off in a promotion run in? Unbelievable, Jeff.

Has it really been 20 years since Villa won 5 games in a row. I must be on a 20 year high then. I had a feeling all game we were going to nick a 1-0 win. That was a professional performance. Not pretty and we weren’t the best team overall but we were organised and solid. Only grumble was that we kept giving the ball away. Keep the 3 points coming please.
