Football Finance expert Matt Scott was on talkSPORT today to talk about the club’s new investors Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
He explained that the wealth of the two men means the club now has the country’s “third richest owners.”
"They've now got the third richest owners in all of English football." ????????

Fans on Twitter are pretty optimistic about the future, but they are still wary following past experiences:
At least we can now pay the gas bill #avfc

Forgot what it’s like to be optimistic. I’m sure that’ll change quick after our first game at Hull. ????

Getting obsessed over the money.
We won't be signing Kylian Mbappé any time soon.

Doesn’t really change anything for me, their wealth wasn’t really in question. I’m happy they are here but still not in the excited camp until I see them making some decisions, after Lerner and Xia I’m a little more wary.

What good is all this money if we can't spend it because of FFP?
— Scott Taggart (@toxytag) 23 July 2018
Because in 1-2 years we can spend baby

City 1st then Chelsea 2nd I take it ????

Verdict:
Time will tell on this one. Having a number of investors is no doubt a good thing. Sawiris is estimated to be worth £5.2billion by Forbes while Edens is said to have a fortune of £1.9billion.
Together they have a 55% stake in the club with 27.5% each. Obviously, that means they have to be decisive in their decision making if they want to get things done.
With Xia now a minority shareholder, it will be very interesting to see how the dynamic between the three men play out in the coming months and years.
