With former Aston Villa loanee Yannick Bolasie taking to social media the other day to bring the curtain down on his loan spell with Anderlecht, the 29-year-old included some positive comments about his short spell with us during the first half of the 2018/19 Championship campaign.
With four goals and two assists in his 21 league appearances for us, he moved on when the January transfer window opened with all sides agreeing to cancel his loan spell and he then headed for Belgium for the second half of the campaign.
His message on Instagram can be found by Clicking Here if for some reason you haven’t already seen it, but it was hugely positive and with some friends at the club, he’ll no doubt be watching on as we battle with Derby County in the Play-Off Final as we look to return to the Premier League this year.
Taking to social media to react to his words, Villa fans were hugely complimentary given his short spell.
Yes Yannick. Thanks for the part you have played in moulding our season. Shame you didn’t stay but you have to do what you have to do. Once a Villan always a Villan!
All best for the future & don’t go to hard when we play against you! ????????????
