What a difference a game makes! Barry said that Jlloyds confidence seemed to steadily grow during the Chelsea game, the boo boys laid off him and some fans said he was our man of the match.

Following the game the left-back has said he was happy with his contribution and that he will build on it to keep his place in the team and with Wilfred Bouma still out due to a knee injury, he may just get the chance!
He told the official site: ‘I was happy with my performance and happy with the team performance. But it can’t just be like that against Chelsea. We’ve got to do it against the teams around us. If we can play like that week in, week out, we won’t go far wrong.’

Adding about this seasons frustrations for himself: ‘I know what I’m capable of and I’ve just got to keep trying to prove that I’ve still got the ability and the desire to impress and do well for myself. Hopefully if I keep playing like I did against Chelsea, I’ve got a chance of staying in the side. I know it’s a cliché, but I have to take each game as it comes. Who knows what will happen from there. Right now I’m just concentrating on my performances between now and the end of the season. If I’m given my chance, I just want to do well.’

Good on you Jlloyd! I still say he is an outstanding prospect and when he plays with Barry in front of him, they link up superbly.
