What is claret and blue? For all, I knew they were the colours to go to every match day, to display on the terraces for every time Aston Villa play. Yet today, today is the day where I come to the breakthrough that the colours of claret and blue mean more, much more than just colours, but they belong to the brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers who join together as one. To family’s that have been and gone today to the colours of claret and blue, we would like to say thank you.

Thank you for staying true to the fans, the club, the crest after many years, stressed we remain blessed for the feelings, the values that you expressed. For those feeling alone, for those feeling afraid together, we march with those colours displayed on our chest. Not repressed by our feelings but obsessed by our passion for the boys in claret and blue.

In the last video, I told my story yet for thousands of Villans across the world for the past 18 months the sound of silence has become too familiar. We live in anger, we remain bitter for we fail to see the bigger picture so we sit alone, so alone we sit in our box as we detox ourselves from feelings of joy and fulfilment as our commitment to life fades away. With no thoughts on what may be but trapped, with our insecurities and doubts expanding into fears, as our tears fall slowly as we find it hard to confess into words with tears being the words that the heart can’t express. As days become weeks, weeks become months the darkness surrounds me. It’s getting so cold. I’m all alone with no one to hold.

John Lennon once said “When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

No matter what mental strife lies awake in your head, let the message of claret and blue spread, not war but love, the happiness you name it all of the above as we long for matchdays to come round once again. To remove the pain we have gained from months abstaining from remaining in touch with society.

What is claret and blue? If I’m being honest with you I still don’t know the full clue. Yet what I do know means more than whatever teacher, job, tv show has in store. What I do know is that claret and blue aren’t just colours, but a community and to feel a sense of unity and opportunity means much more to me.
