Former Chairman and the man of many mixed reviews, Dr Tony Xia was also a casualty of the summer transfer window, as a document released on Companies House today confirms that he has been ‘Terminated’ as a Director of the club.
The termination dates back to August 2 and as confirmed by Express and Star journalist Matt Maher, his remaining shares have now been transferred to NSWE and he no longer features on the Official Site’s Who’s Who page as a Co-Chairman (although somebody has forgotten to edit the bottom of it).

All Villa fans knew this day was coming given the way his remaining ownership had been diluted as Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens continued to pump cash into the club in recent months, but thankfully that line has now been drawn and plenty of fans will be delighted with the news – although, he does still have his supporters.
For me, it’s the development of the summer…and I no longer need to type the name.
