Vital Villa asked for Bobbyfett, what would please you this season considering last year?

4% said the title! (ahem!!!)
8% said champions league qualification.
25% voted for top 6 and a trophy.
38% said top 8 and a semi-final appearance.
21% had their realistic hats on and said they’d settle for top eight and a decent cup run and just 4% said they’d be happy with anything higher than last season.

Our latest poll, which amused me when sent in by Ulster Villa, asks what David O’thinggermigig is thinking now!

  • top 8 and possibly a trophy is a realistic and best bet for you this season … next season progress from there and who knows where you could end up !!

  • It takes time to lay the foundations of success. Even then there is no guarantee of winning anything. However it is wonderful to have ‘hope’. It is something that we have not had for years. At the start of every season I want to win the league, the FA Cup

  • I would have taken anything other than relegation before the season started. Now, as long as we finish in the top half then I’ll be delighted. As voiceoftheholte says, it will take Randy and MON time to build the club back up, but we are certainly heading

  • douginabox has just summed up exactly why i asked this question, i was so convinced we would have got relegated this season. its been an amazing few of months, lets look forward to a few more !

  • If we can get at least 4 points from our next 2 home games then I’ll really start believing that top half, and maybe even top 6 is possible. Having said that, even if we slump a bit and only finish mid-table it will still be a massive step forward from w

  • I never had expectations, being a Villa fan, they always ended in tears, mine usually 🙂 This year is no different, I dont expect anything, but I think we should be good for a top 8 position and that would make me extremely happy given that last year we

  • Dannygav, good come back sonny. The Spurs fans minority really love to come on and wind up . Spurs and Villa should just get their heads down and break up the big 4 at the top. Kudos to Spurs for trying so hard last season. More teams doing that the bette

  • Koolbill,

If I had the choice, I would go for Keane.

You are also right about Villa and Spurs. We are both historically big clubs, both on the way back up.

  • I say we enter the Dutch market and buy Nicky Hofs (info from Wikipedia: Netherlands Under 21 regular, and has won one cap for the Dutch national team. He joined the Netherlands U21 for the U21 European Championship in Portugal 2006, he helped the team re

  • also, not so sure about Milner – like him – but is he mentally strong enough to be consistent? A really cheeky punt would be Lee Trundle of Swansea. Would grab a few goals and can pass, is very skillful.

  • back to the expectations for this season, for me they have already been exceeded, In my wildest dreams I could not have hoped for a better result, no deadly, new owner, MARTIN O’NEIL MANAGER (every time I think or write that I have to pinch myself) and a

  • Mid-table, with plenty of signs suggesting, no confirming that we’re moving in the right direction. This is no overnight thing though, the club has been in decline for way too long.
