What do you get if you procrastinate too long?

Nothing.

Villa now face competition from fellow Premiership teams Bolton and Wigan in the chase for James Milner’s signature.

The nippy winger who was on loan at Villa all last season, has stated he would like to stay at Villa and David O’Leary is convinced the young player is desperate to play for ‘him’ but if Villa don’t put in a bid – and quick – they risk losing out.

Some reports also claim that Glenn Roeder might decide to keep the 20-year-old at Newcastle but has been told he also has to sell some players to fund new arrivals. Not quite sure why they would want to sell Milner mind you, seems a top prospect to me.

In our favour, with such a depleted squad, we can offer him first team football. On the downside, if we keep depleting the squad further, we could also be offering Championship football.
