At the moment we are in a transitional period, we have somehow survived 3 summer transfer windows of frustration, players leaving, starting with the Barry saga carrying on to part 2 the Milner saga, and part 3 the ash and downing saga.

Its all been frustrating saddening and well just depressing to be a villa fan and watch the unravelling of our clubs ambition disperse in front of our very eyes over the last few years. I have noticed that even the true die hard Randy enthusiasts have been posting there understanding of our current financial restraints yet still saying more is required from the board, we get no rallying cries or just explanations from our board on what’s going to happen?

When or if our ambitions will resume back to challenging for the glory champions league land nothing. So after stating the obvious which fan are you?

A) The totally understanding fan, who sees the bigger picture and is still full of hope through our youth system and current young stars like Bannan, Albrighton Clark etc to guide us through this period and rebuild this way to get us back to where we were years ago. And still favours Randy’s leadership and decision making for the club or

B) The frustrated fan who see’s what’s going on at our great club, and wants more done whether it be Randy to invest after the wages have been controlled soon, and hope he decides to once again re-invest in the squad maybe not as before but to at least allow a few big name signings to add some excitement back to villa park, but is still confident in Randy’s ability to run villa and sustain ambition and doesn’t want a change in ownership. But is concerned that even if another investor took over what there motives would really be so is happier to stick with what and who they know to be in charge. or

C) The frustrated fan who see’s what’s going on at our great club but wants change, who believes that Randy can or will not be able to take us any further after 5 years ownership, and has lost faith in his ability to either be able to financially back us again as to what is required in the modern era of fantasy premier league football it know is.

As this type of fan wants Villa to wake up from its hibernation it has been put into, I find myself torn between B) and C), whilst understanding the financial side a part of me cant help but ask, ”if i bought a premier league club, shouldn’t i understand the financial implications and demands”? We either sit back and see what’s going to happen in the coming seasons and just hope we can hold onto the likes of Clark, Albrighton, Bent etc or we can start demanding answers from the board like:-

Will we ever under your ownership be able to challenge the top 4 again? or what is your strategy and plans for our club know the wages have been reduced?

I am grateful to Mr Lerner for what he has done for our great club, but there are questions that need answering, that sometimes leaders have to answer to for good or bad!
