Aston Villa have announced that young goalkeeper Matija Sarkic has now headed out to Wigan Athletic on a loan spell.
The 20 year old youngster and regular Under 23 player for Kevin MacDonald’s side will link up with the DW outfit according to the Official Site until January 2008.
Hey folks it’s late, I have to giggle because I know the mistakes I’ve already made tonight and I’m not convinced I can spell my own name anymore – deadline day gets to us all!
The 20 year old stopper goes to them until January 2018 on a half season loan, and he arrived at Villa Park of course back in the summer of 2015 from Anderlecht after coming through their youth system which oversaw the development of the likes of Vincent Kompany and Romelu Lukaku.
It should be an excellent loan spell for the young and highly rated keeper and I can only hope the loan fee is somewhere in the region of £10million as he’s clearly going to be more of an asset to them than Charlie N’Zogbia ever was to us.
