I think most Aston Villa fans would admit that following our Covid disrupted January, talisman Jack Grealish hasn’t yet fully refound his prior form and we have to remember he’s had a slight hamstring issue over the month as well – but that certainly doesn’t mean he hasn’t been instrumental as we got back to action.
𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡. 🤩@JackGrealish has been nominated for the @PremierLeague's January Player of the Month award! 💜

Having opened the month with a defeat to Manchester United following their obligatory unfair penalty decision, we had to wait 19 days before the Video Assistant Referee system could again rob us of potential points against Manchester City. We got ourselves up and running with victory over Newcastle United, let ourselves down badly against Burnley, and ended the month arguably having received some luck against Southampton.
For Jack, those games translate as one goal and three assists and it’s seen him shortlisted for the PL Player of the Month gong for the third time this season.
Having been amongst the nominees for October and November, surely it’s a case of third time lucky for our 25-year-old England man – particularly given who he’s up against – Craig Dawson, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernd Leno (how), Matheus Pereira, Bukayo Saka, James Madison and John Stones.
Voting closes on Monday, February 8 at 6pm.
You know what to do folks.

I’m not the only one who thinks this is a no brainer.
Why can't we just skip to making him player of the season already
