Fresh on the heels of manager Tim Sherwood announcing that changes would be made to the playing staff this summer following our season and four nil defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup Final yesterday we have two new and totally fresh transfer links.

The media are claiming that we will raid Hull for two players this summer, especially if we do lose Christian Benteke.

I’m not sure which outlet first proposed this but it’s certainly gained traction during the day.

With Benteke’s future continuing to be doubt with the speculation it’s said that Sherwood has identified Dame N’Doye as his replacement should he leave.

30 year old N’Doye joined Hull on deadline day back in the January window and went on to play 15 times in total for Steve Bruce’s relegated side, scoring five times – one of which was against us.

He joined them for around £3million apparently, so with relegation, even if they want a profit, they aren’t in much of a position to demand too much of an uplift.

There are some suggestions there is a £2.5million buy clause in his deal.

It’s said Sunderland and Newcastle are also interested in the player.

It’s also said that we will be battling with Newcastle for their centre half, James Chester.

26 year old Chester made 32 appearances for them last season, scoring twice and the former Manchester United youngster has picked up five Welsh caps since making his debut for them back in 2014.

It’s said offers of around £4million would get his services.
