Aston Villa striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been nominated on the shortlist for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.

The seven-man shortlist sees RHM listed alongside Stoke City’s Tyrese Campbell, Arsenal pair Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha, Blackburn Rovers’ Joseph Nuttall and Liverpool’s Harry Wilson.
The list has been selected by a panel made up of Premier League Football Development Department works and the overall winner will be on announced on Thursday, May 17.
Hepburn-Murphy, as fans will know, lifted the Monthly accolade for April for his performances across the month – Villa Youngster Takes Top Award In Recognition Of Performances – so with his goal return and form it’s no great surprise to see him listed for the overall prize.

In nominating him for the award the PremierLeague.com picked out his 13 strikes this season and name-checked his brace that helped send Villa into the Play-Off Final ahead of us lifting the Premier League Cup.
Richly deserved for RHM and hopefully, he crowns his season with the full gong!
