With the arrival of Wesley a few weeks back as one of Aston Villa’s early summer captures, plenty wondered where youngster Keinan Davis would now fit in when it came to head coach Dean Smith’s plans and the answer could be a loan spell with Queens Park Rangers, Swansea City, Hull City or Preston North End.

The 21-year-old has plenty of development left to do and he certainly needs to add a goal threat to his game, but despite being hit with injuries last season that restricted him to only seven substitute appearances, he continued to impress plenty of fans with his overall game play and the way he tried to lead the line.

According to Mirror journalist James Nursey, all four clubs are believed to have approached Villa about taking the lad on loan in 2019/20 and it makes all the sense in the world for me, as given the injury niggles, he is playing catch up on game time and much in the way that Jed Steer’s spell out with Charlton Athletic proved to be the making of him, it could well be similar for Davis.
