With plenty of youngsters moving on this summer from our Academy groups and Under 23 set up, one player who remains is Brad Watkins.
The 22 year old joined the club as a scholar back in July 2011 and has taken in two loan spells already out with Chelmsford and Tranmere Rovers to further his experience.
He part of our successful NetGen Series run back in 2013 and he’s also represented England at Under 16 and 17 levels, so there are certainly high hopes for the lad.
He’s penned a 12 month extension to his current deal this week and I wouldn’t be too surprised if we arranged a half season long deal this coming year to try and get him some games under his belt as well.
