A tongue in cheek article from Deanovilla!

You’re never too old to ‘make it’.

Here’s a heartwarming story from this season. A story about a player who began his professional career 20 years ago, worked hard, never gave up, continued to dream of making it to the big time and then finally in the match against Derby County at Villa Park played in front of the biggest home crowd of his 20-year career.

That man was John Terry.

The attendance of 41,745 at Villa Park v The Rams eclipses the capacity at Terry’s former home Stamford Bridge by 114 meaning it was officially the biggest, most packed out and undeniably the loudest home match he’s ever taken part in.

Just goes to show if you work hard you’ll eventually reach the top. There’s still hope for the likes of Eden Hazard yet. Villa Park would welcome you with open arms if you want to make the step up Eden! 😉
